Dr Michael Landsberg is a research Group Leader at the School of Chemistry and Molecular Bioscience. His group’s research is focused on understanding the specific roles played by large, multi-protein (or multi-molecular) machineries in processes associated with infectious disease. His lab uses structural biology techniques, primarily single particle electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM), to investigate the structure of viruses and viral proteins, as well as virulence factors associated with pathogenic bacteria.
