Associate Professor Ross McGeary

Associate Professor Ross McGeary is a medicinal chemist with an interest in designing and synthesising potent inhibitors of metallo-beta-lactamase (MBLs).

MBLs are enzymes that make bacteria resistant to a broad range of beta-lactam antibiotics. This is an increasingly important challenge to public health, as there are no clinically available inhibitors of MBLs.
