AID researchers are drawn from infectious disease experts from across QIMR and UQ who apply leading technologies to identify, understand and prevent infectious disease.

David Harrich

Associate Professor David Harrich is Group Leader of HIV and Molecular Virology at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.

His research focus is the discovery of key viral or cellular molecules required for HIV to grow, and then to target their actions so that HIV growth can be effectively blocked.

The lab is also interested in cellular factors regulating respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and dengue virus replication control.
