AID researchers are drawn from infectious disease experts from across QIMR and UQ who apply leading technologies to identify, understand and prevent infectious disease.

Rowland Cobbold

Associate Professor Rowland Cobbold studies the patterns, causes and effects of infectious diseases that can be passed to humans; food-borne infectious agents within animals; and potential public health risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

His projects include studies of multi-drug-resistant strains of E. coli and Salmonella; and veterinary public health aspects of antimicrobial resistance in pathogens and bacteria.
