Associate Professor Nicholas Davis-Poynter studies the biological mechanisms underlying herpes virus infection.

His current research is focused upon G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) homologues, originally captured from the host, which are used by a number of herpes viruses to modify host cell signaling and responses.
