Professor Mark Ragan’s research makes inferences about how genomes, gene, and protein families, regulatory networks, and cellular functions have evolved and diversified.

Using advanced bioinformatic and computational analyses, he aims to understand a variety of factors, including genetic transfer, evolution, regulation and interaction, and pathogenicity and virulence.
